Playing matchmaker for Katie Holmes

Before the big bad Tom Cruise was in Katie's life, Chris Klein had asked for her hand in marriage. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the rumors start that they are relighting an old flame. Whether they come true or stay false, the past should stay in the past because relationships usually end for a good reason. Cue three hot male celebs that Katie should keep her eyes on and a few types that she should stay far away from. First things first: Katie should benefit from a dating detox. After a long relationship ends, it's important to do some soul searching and make sure that you know what you want next. After her timeout, these three guys should be on her radar. Read more

Viva Mexico: Why your honeymoon is important

We did it! We finally tied the knot five years and a Sin Halo later. Our wedding was spectacular: We could not have asked for anything better! The ceremony was held at The Carlton NYC in Millesime Restaurant and Lounge. We took photos in Central Park, and then went right back to Millesime for the reception. Our crazy Tim Burton style cake by Cake Alchemy was delicious and our little boy danced the night away with all of our guests. He was Destin’s best man. It was beyond magical... but not quite as magical as the night that followed! *wink* The next day, we took flight for Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for a honeymoon at the Grand Velas that we will never forget. When we arrived, we were greeted, handed a cigar, a Bird of Paradise and were then whisked off to the resort. The sun was shining, it was hot as Hades’ backyard, but we were married and in love and that was all that mattered. Read more

Real Girl’s Kitchen: Jicama, melon and mango beachside skewers

Beachside skewer recipe by Haylie Duff for PattiKnows
I just got home from a week-long vacation with my mom, sister and my precious little nephew, Luca. So much has been happening in all of our lives that it had been a couple years since we took some time away together. It was pure bliss. It was Luca's (he's 4 months old now) first vacation out of the country and he was so cute in all of his sun protection gear! We swam, read books (I finally finished the third Fifty Shades of Grey book!), played dominoes, drank margaritas, laughed with each other and ate amazing, authentic Mexican food. Other than the three paparazzi boats that were permanently docked outside of our room, we couldn't have dreamed up a better getaway. Read more

Real Girl’s Kitchen: Pecorino & scrambled egg pita pockets

Scrambled egg and pecorino pita pocket recipe by Haylie Duff
I get a lot of people who write in to my blog and ask me for easy breakfast ideas. I love that so many of my readers are busy moms or on-the-go career chicks. So, in honor of all the hard working ladies who can't stand to skip breakfast, here is a breakfast recipe just for you. It's a perfect portion, doesn't require a knife, fork or even a plate and it will keep you full well in to your lunch hour.
