Boston: a city filled with hometown pride, established by education and culture, and crawling with men. After succumbing to gypsy soul for several years, and moving being able to call California, Connecticut, and Texas home, I can honestly say Boston is my favorite place of residence. While this city is probably the most difficult to navigate, I would have to say the dating scene is one in the same. I’m staring 26 right in the face, and while my friends are getting engaged or married, I am still trying to find a “plus one” to the most important and memorable days of their lives.

Is it just us? Or is there a new trend plaguing the guys of Nashville where they are just as self conscious, if not MORE SO, than girls when it comes to weight and body image? Stereotypically it’s the girl who orders no dressing on a salad, and says, “trying to watch my carbs” or, “I shouldn’t” when offered sweets. No, we aren’t fans of this behavior, but you have to admit that it is present among women, and now sadly men.

I have two jobs.
My first is your standard nine-to-five-ish advertising gig in Midtown. I’m kept busy all day and sometimes into the night. I like what I do and it pays my bills.
My second job is my love life. I didn’t apply for the position and it doesn't keep my lights on, but it takes just as much effort, planning, and preparation as any other work-related activity.
