Atlanta Date Night: The Sun Dial Restaurant

The Sun Dial Restaurant

Want to make your date feel on top of the world? Take them there! Well, at least to the top of Atlanta at The Sun Dial Restaurant. This revolving restaurant is an Atlanta favorite and not only provides a beautiful atmosphere on the inside but breath taking views on the outside! It is a bit pricey (and it is mostly the ambiance you’re paying for), but once you take in the view, it’ll be worth it!

Nashville Date Night: The Sutler

The Sutler

Who says live music has to remain in the Broadway Honky Tonks? The Sutler in Melrose provides live music and a trendy bar vibe that is absolutely perfect for a date; casual yet upscale. Live bands give you a fabulous excuse to lean in a little closer to talk to your date, which is never a bad thing! In addition to the great atmosphere, The Sutler is affordable with a bottle of Pinot Noir for $24, a steal! “Shareables” on dates add a bonding experience and an additional topic of conversation. The Sutler’s menu is conducive to this featuring “snacks”, “dunks”, and “veggies” options. Picking and choosing which culinary creations to split is both fun and flirty. If you’re not quite ready to call it a night, you and your date should check out the amazing lounge downstairs. It has a vibe that reminiscent of a speakeasy in New York or Chicago. It provides a new environment to liven up your date with the convenience of not having to leave the restaurant!

What to do when you’re haunted by your ex’s past

Anyway, the question here is what should you do if your ex’s romantic past feels like it’s haunting you. And I have the answer. Read more

Welcome To Boston

Boston: a city filled with hometown pride, established by education and culture, and crawling with men. After succumbing to gypsy soul for several years, and moving being able to call California, Connecticut, and Texas home, I can honestly say Boston is my favorite place of residence. While this city is probably the most difficult to navigate, I would have to say the dating scene is one in the same. I’m staring 26 right in the face, and while my friends are getting engaged or married, I am still trying to find a “plus one” to the most important and memorable days of their lives. Read more

Dating Mr. Body

Is it just us? Or is there a new trend plaguing the guys of Nashville where they are just as self conscious, if not MORE SO, than girls when it comes to weight and body image? Stereotypically it’s the girl who orders no dressing on a salad, and says, “trying to watch my carbs” or, “I shouldn’t” when offered sweets. No, we aren’t fans of this behavior, but you have to admit that it is present among women, and now sadly men. Read more

My Two Jobs

I have two jobs. My first is your standard nine-to-five-ish advertising gig in Midtown. I’m kept busy all day and sometimes into the night. I like what I do and it pays my bills. My second job is my love life. I didn’t apply for the position and it doesn't keep my lights on, but it takes just as much effort, planning, and preparation as any other work-related activity. And did I mention the stress? Oh yes, the stress. Read more
