The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Having big breasts come with a lot of perks (and if you’re lucky, perkiness), but it also comes with quite a few downsides. The size of your breasts unfortunately dictates a lot of your fashion choices, whether you realize it or not. Here are my tips for dressing with big tits.
The don’ts:
-
The button down shirt
Enemy number one when you have large breasts: the button down shirt. I’ve tried and tried, and tried again, to find a button down shirt that doesn’t gape when I move, but I’m convinced it doesn’t exist. Sure, I could use a safety pin (and I have), but knowing that a safety pin is the only thing preventing me from having a nip slip really negates that overall classy vibe I’m shooting for.

The Boho flowy dress
The boho look has been in for quite some time now, and I keep hoping and praying that it will go away. It’s very hard for women with larger breasts to pull off this look because when you put large breasts in a flowy dress, it does one of two things: creates a tent effect (not good) or makes you look ten sizes bigger than you actually are (definitely not good).
The do’s:
-
The wrap dress.
Whoever created the wrap dress is a god. A god to busty women and really all body shapes. The wrap dress creates a flattering shape and accentuates the waist, which is essential when you run on the curvier side. Nothing says sophisticated and sexy like the perfect wrap dress. I own close to twenty wrap dresses, so you know I’m not lying.
-
The structured jacket
I always feel like Clinton Kelly and Stacy London when I talk about a structured jacket, but hey, they know their stuff. A structured jacket is the perfect way to complete an outfit if you have big breasts. Once again, a structured jacket accentuates your waist, and creates an overall chic look. Just sure the jacket actually buttons. Otherwise, you’ll run into the same problem as we have with button down shirts, which once again, is not cute.
At the end of the day, all that glitters isn’t gold. Sometimes it’s hard to find an outfit that accentuates your curves when we live in a society that would prefer all women to be a size 0. But with these simple tips, a great bra and some confidence, you’ll be feeling like Beyonce in no time (and in the end, isn’t that what we all really want?)
