Daily horoscopes: January 18, 2018

ARIES.

(March 20 – April 19):

Not the day to take a stand.  You’ll only change it.  This is less about principle and more about the shifting sands of popular support.

TAURUS.

(April 20 – May 20):

It feels like you can’t pursue one objective without jeopardizing another.  Actually you’re too involved.  Back away and get perspective.

GEMINI.

(May 21 – June 20):

An unforeseen element comes into play.  Can it tip the balance in your favor?  Chances are it will as long as you don’t jump the gun.

CANCER.

(June 21 – July 21):

Loyalty goes only so far.  The expectation that loved ones snap into formation whenever you beckon borders on the exploitative.  Rethink it.

LEO.

(July 22 – Aug. 22):

You have doubts about the future of an association.  Don’t act on them yet.  Either things turn around soon or this person quietly fades away.

VIRGO.

(Aug. 23 – Sept. 22):

You know you have to take the ups with the downs, but does your partner?  A heart-to-heart reminds this person you’re in it together.

LIBRA.

(Sept. 23 – Oct. 22):

A loved one asks for a lending hand.  Spell out terms and make money available as each condition is met.  It’s how to teach self-sufficiency.

SCORPIO.

(Oct. 23 – Nov. 21):

You’ve had it with loved ones.  No matter what you do, they still find fault.  Take yourself off the hook and let them fend for themselves.

SAGITTARIUS.

(Nov. 22 – Dec. 20):

Don’t be dismissive with the technical wording of an agreement.  It will come back to haunt you.  Honor it and you skip the grief.

CAPRICORN.

(Dec. 21 – Jan. 19):

You don’t have much patience for clueless types, but cultivate some.  It wasn’t so long ago that you were the one learning the ropes.

AQUARIUS.

(Jan. 20 – Feb. 17):

Don’t choose sides. Each is right. What’s needed is imagination to incorporate the best of both and ingenuity to sell it as something new.

PISCES.

(Feb. 18 – March 19):

Are you forestalling the inevitable?  A goodwill gesture to listen to both sides could exacerbate matters.  Let opponents hash out differences.
