Hello again, my AskPatti-ers. Another week and another round of amazing questions from you all. When I started this column, I really thought I’d be answering one question a week. But you all have so many important and inspiring questions that I can’t help but fit as many as I possibly can into every column. So, welcome to another week of rapid fire #AskPatti questions. Let’s jump in.
#AskPatti Do you believe there’s someone out there for everyone? @pattistanger 🙂

I love love, people. So, of course I believe there’s someone out there for each and every person. I wouldn’t be in this business if I believed otherwise.
@pattistanger #AskPatti should U have hopes for that guy U like who has a GF.that U and he begins dating later in life? When both singel ?

Waiting around for an unavailable guy is a waste of your precious, precious time. And of everything that’s bountiful in life, time is not one of them. So, I say ditch a dude who isn’t smart enough to know that you’re the best thing that could ever happen to him and find a guy who’s single and ready for a relationship.
The fact that his is 40 years old, single, and his longest relationship with a woman lasted only 1 year and half is a Red Flag? #AskPatti
— Cecilia Stuart (@cechuvu) October 24, 2013
It’s not necessarily a red flag. You need to do a little more digging to really find out. Where is he in his life? Is he hanging out with a bunch of single, younger dudes who party it up every weekend? Does he have a real job? Is his apartment more like a frat house than a home? If the answers to those questions are yes, then, yeah, you’ve got a red flag situation. But, if his friends are age appropriate and coupled off, he’s in a stable job and he lives like a grown up, then he could be a total catch. It’s possible that he just hasn’t been ready for love for the past 40 years and now he is. You’re not ready till you’re ready and you can’t fault him for not being ready until he met you. If you’re having doubts, talk to him and confirm that he’s not a lifelong playboy and he’s actually looking to settle down.
#AskPatti I’m 37 & want to cut my hair like Melanie Griffith in Working Girl. But I always hear guys hate short hair. Thoughts? #AskPatti
— AdverTina (@AdverTina) October 24, 2013
The truth? Yeah, generally dudes like longer hair better and I really love when my clients have long, silky hair. But, don’t make your major life decisions (and hair cuts are major!) on what everyone else is thinking. Above all, I’m about being yourself. And if being yourself means a buzzcut, do it, girl. I’m sure you’ll look great.
That’s it for this week, my loves. Talk to you soon! Mwah!
