It’s almost 2015! That sounds so crazy to me. It’s like we’re all living in the future, right? I remember when 1984 seemed like the future! Honestly, thought we’d all be half cyborg by now. Anyway, the start of a new year means a fresh start. And a lot of people like to do that with a new look. Recently, I’ve been really into mini-makeovers. I change my look with really small tweaks to my normal routine. Fashion and beauty have been the easiest routines to change that makes a big difference in how I look and feel. I get a lot of inspiration from YouTube vloggers. So, I thought I’d share some of my favorite YouTubers you can watch to get some inspiration for your new 2015 look.
Marissa Lace
Marissa is super relatable and seems so down to earth. She’s the friend you’d totally call after a crazy date to vent. Her make up tutorials are very easy and straightforward. Plus, she’s so open about her skin challenges, which is something I know a lot of people deal with. And she’s had hair of all different lengths and has been both blonde and brown. So, if you go back far enough into her video library, you’ll def find a tutorial that matches the kind of hair you have.
Nicole Guerriero
I love watching these videos. Nicole is funny and always dances or sings while she puts on her makeup. (I totally do too!) Her go to look is very, very done up and not natural or simple at all, though. She’s the real deal! So, I tend to take one tip or element from her tutorials at a time and test it out on myself.
GlamLifeGuru
Tati is a makeup artist and really knows what she’s talking about when it comes to beauty products. She makes a special effort to be budget conscious and incorporate drugstore products into her tutorials. I really appreciate that because it’s so hard to know what in the drugstore is worth it and what’s a total fail.
Fleur DeForce
Fleur is a British YouTuber with a life that seems very glamorous to me—amazing house, lots of cute pets, adorable husband and makeup that’s always on point. Her tutorials normally include very high-end products, but her techniques are easy to follow and can be applied to anything you already have in your makeup bag. Plus, I can listen to a British accent all day!
Meghan Rienks
Meghan is such a trip. Recently, she’s stopped doing as many tutorials and has started doing more inspiration vlogs that are a glimpse into her life. Anything she puts up on is packed full of laughs and some jumping off points for new ideas for your personal looks. I’ve been loving her latest fashion and routine videos. I started eating frozen mango because of her!
Happy watching and an even happier 2015! Love you guys!
