For those who are coupled up, that means romantic long weekend trips, lazy afternoons cuddling and basically, just a full extra 24 hours to feel in love. For single girls, an extra day alone over the most romantic weekend of the year could be kinda traumatic. More time to think about being single can be really crappy. Fear not, single gals. I got you! Update your online dating profile
Don’t spend this weekend having a pity party for yourself. So what? You’re single! Get over it and get on it. By that I mean, get on your own case and take steps toward meeting a great guy to date. The number one easiest way to meet a new dude is through online dating. So, start a freaking profile if you haven’t already. If you have, give it a good facelift this weekend. I’m talking all new pictures and totally refreshed copy. He’s out there, you just have to attract him! You can’t keep putting the same stuff out there and expect different results. Change it up and see what potential mates you attract!
Try something new and social
Let’s be real, most of your friends are out of town for the long weekend, right? Use that as your incentive to do something totally out of your comfort zone that your friends would never be down for. Maybe it’s trying a rock climbing gym. Or what if you joined a writing group? How about you finally sign up for that Thai cooking class? Pick something new to do with a group and you’ll be set. Meeting new people will open up all kinds of dating doors. You could meet Mr. Right at one of these activities! Even if you don’t, a lot of dating apps use friends of friends on social media as potential matches. So, the more friends you have, the more matches you’ll get!
Go out by yourself
Get a drink all by your lonesome. Wear something great that’s eye catching and makes you feel confident and head to a classy bar. I love hotel bars for solo missions. They have a good mix of people, including single men traveling for business, who are typically down to chat. Don’t busy yourself with your phone or Kindle. Be open, available and intriguing! Someone will definitely talk to you. Probably a few someones. So, be picky and only engage with guys who seem quality.
