All men put up that burly, manly act. They act like the only thing that can get them emotional is their favorite team winning (or losing) in overtime. But, here’s the truth: Men are humans. (I know, shocking science fact!) And humans have emotions. And your human man is dying for you to say certain things to make him feel mushy and gushy and bubbling over inside. There is not a single person on the planet who is 100% sure of themselves when it comes to sex. And, yes, that includes your super-confident, sexy man. Even he doesn’t feel like a boss in the bedroom all the time. A little complimenting goes a long way to make someone feel like a super star when it comes to sex, so tell him that he’s amazing in bed. And get specific. Let him know what exactly he does that’s so far beyond anything else you’ve experienced. How he kisses? That thing he does with his finger? Even telling him that he’s the world’s best cuddler will make him feel like a million bucks. And who doesn’t want a confident guy in the sack?
“Your hair is amazing”
Literally, every single guy over the age of 25 is self-conscious about his hair. It’s like women and that lower stomach region—just a universal sore spot. Make your guy feel better about whatever he has going on up top by telling him how sexy you think it is. Even if he’s bald or has terrible plugs up there, just find a reason to give him a compliment. And of course I’m not saying to lie. Relationships need to be based on honesty. But, you can find a sincere reason to compliment a man’s hair, even if it’s less than ideal. I mean, I one time dating a guy who exclusively chewed with his mouth open and I was so smitten with him that I actually found it adorable. When you like someone, you’ll find reasons to compliment the dumbest things!

You know that new kid at school feeling, when you walk into a cafeteria and don’t know anyone or where to sit and you just pray someone’s generous enough to flag you over to their table? Well, that’s how your dude feels every single time he meets a new friend or family member of yours. Make him feel better about meeting your people by telling him every single nice thing they say about him. It sounds so silly, I know. But it will make him more confident and more excited to meet other people in your life.
