I’m not sure if it’s something in the air or what, but I feel like all of my single girlfriends are really hitting a wall when it comes to dating recently. Every single one of them! One of my besties actually said to me the other day, “I think I’ve dated every man on the internet. There’s no one left!” So, I looked at her apps and saw that her search criteria were set to search for men her age or older. I had to seriously convince her to give me control of her apps, but she finally caved. I tweaked her age specifications to make her open to dudes 15 years younger and suddenly, it was a whole new world of dating! A week and two first dates later and my friend was converted to younger guys. She said the chatting within the app was more fun, the two dates she went on were a million times better than any of her other recent dates and her attitude about dating was rejuvenated! She insisted that I post this week about why every single lady should be open to dating younger.
Increase your pool
First and foremost, the math of being open to dating younger really works in your favor. It expands your pool in a major way. And when it comes to finding someone you click with, it is a numbers game. You need to get out there and meet as many people as possible to find your match. The fewer criteria you have, like age or height or religion, the more you can focus on chemistry and compatibility. Think about it. If you found a guy who made you happy and who had similar goals and lifestyle to you, but was six years younger, would you pass that up? I sure wouldn’t!
Sexual satisfaction
Older dudes can have some plumbing issues in the bedrooms, if you know what I mean. And I know there are solutions and work arounds to this. And sex certainly isn’t everything. But, it is an important thing. And men and women hit their sexual prime at different chronological points in their life. Right around when women hit their stride, men start to decline in performance. So, you might be more sexually compatible with someone who’s younger than you are in age, but right on the same page in the sack.
Equality
I’m not saying that dating younger is going to solve all of the gender inequality issues in the world. But, it could help with the disparity in your relationship. I find that when I date men who are older, they seem to have a bit of a condescending vantage point. And it’s nothing major. It can be quite subtle, like not taking my career as seriously as I would like or thinking that my issues with my friend group are silly. When I’ve dated younger, I don’t run into the same problems. I feel like I get the respect I deserve and am looked at as an equal instead of a little girl. Of course, this negative stuff doesn’t apply to every older guy I’ve ever dated, but I will say the mutual respect does apply to every younger guy.
So, I say slide that age range down, ladies, and swim a few laps in the youngins pool to see if you like it. My guess is the water will be the perfect temperature for you!
