So how do you tell someone that the next step is to dump everything you’ve worked on and start afresh? You don’t. S/he already knows.
You have people’s support but careful not to push it. You’re still in a “probationary” period and have to prove yourself. Nevertheless you’re doing fine.
There’s no way you’ll convince everyone you were right all along so cop to your part in a fiasco and they’ll cop to theirs.
It won’t be easy getting people to rethink their positions. They’re pretty angry. But if you start by telling them how right they are to feel that way, they’ll be more receptive.
You really have to stop picking up your toys and threatening to leave when things don’t go your way. Be patient and the pendulum will swing back soon enough.
